The Green Deal and the European Climate Law, Europe aims to cancel net greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere by 2050. This ambitious goal will require significant scientific research to identify viable solutions for the replacement of fossil compounds. The PLASMODD project aims to develop a plasma technology for storing renewable electricity by reforming CO2 and other abundant molecules such as N2 into synthetic fuels and feedstocks.
The performance of these processes will be studied and optimized with an interdisciplinary approach by the University of Trento, responsible for the experimental activities, and by the CNR-ISTP in Bari, that will deal with the computational modelling.
